Living in Southern California with the rich assortment of cold water mollusks found off shore, as well as being close to the warm waters of the Sea of Cortez has been the perfect combination for shell collecting and study.
I will attempt to include as much as I can on these pages the local shells I and my friends have collected over the years. My hope is this will encourage more interest in the diversity and variation found in the shells of California and Baja. I have been trading for over 20 years and look forward to sharing some of these shells with you. I will have links to scans of all of the shells I have for exchange. This is a large undertaking as I have many 1,000's for trade.
